IIT and BCT is proud to announce the inaugural Tasmania ‘Tigers’ blind and low vision players for the National Cricket Inclusion Championships.
BCT’s entry into the NCIC for the first time is as a dual TAS/ACT team, and we’re ready to take on the competition from every other State!
Thanks go to all our valued Sponsors, Donors, Partners, Volunteers, and of course our committed talented Players. This was just a vision three years ago and is now a reality thanks to the collective passion and commitment of so many inspiring people.
Thanks also to Dean Young MP for being a part of the announcement in representing the Sports Minister Nic Street MP.
And of course, the legendary Steve Waugh who traveled down to meet the players and help present them with their NCIC uniforms. We are humbled by his support and grateful we could share the moment with him on and off the field! Look out for us in his next ’Spirit of Cricket’ book and video.
Wishing all our blind and visually impaired Tigers players the best of luck at the NCIC in Brisbane from Feb 5-10!
