Blind Cricket Tasmania GoFundMe Page Launched

June 13th 2022

Blind Cricket Tas GoFundMe page launched! Help us to sustain and grow the initiative.

Donate at our GoFundMe page here.

IIT has DGR status, offering 100% tax deductibility when declared on your tax return.

And for companies, your donation ‘for good’ offers the mutual benefit of supporting a NFP community equal-access and empowerment initiative while offering significant tax-offsets.

The IIT Blind Cricket Tasmania statewide program operates under MoU with Cricket Tasmania and in partnership with Blind Sports Aust and Blind Cricket Aust. BCT just won Cricket Tasmania’s and Cricket Australia’s national Community Partnership of the Year Award!

You can see BCT’s activities on our Facebook page including:

  • WIN TV & C7 News Stories
  • Training and game day images and videos
  • General news posts

IIT seeks your support to help fund the all-ages, all-abilities participation program as well as send players to represent Tasmania at the 2023 National Cricket Inclusion Championships. Predicted cost is $15,000 for flights, accommodation and support needs.

Have you seen the recent national TV news stories on state and international blind cricket competitions? Tasmania has never had a player group to participate in these events – until now! So we’ve launched our GoFundMe page in seeking your help to fund our player’s attendance.

Thanks to Kookaburra Cricket Aust for donating playing kits (bats, pads, gloves) and Cricket Tas for training equipment and partnership support, allowing for a high-quality playing experience for blind and visually impaired participants.

We welcome financial support from corporates, businesses, individuals and charity organisations to help us sustain the program and make the State Team Players’ dreams come true!

Visit the GoFundMe page here for more info and donation incentives including:
