We are actively seeking sponsorship or other financial support from corporate entities, government funding bodies, and independent philanthropists.
Funding will help us:
Blind Cricket Tasmania is the state’s largest sporting program of its type, managed by Inclusive Innovations Tasmania (IIT), who are a unique 100% volunteer NFP entity governed by an independent board.
Blind cricket is a sport that was born in Australia, and is played around the world. Whether you’re at the World Cup, the Ashes or T20 World Cup, blind cricket is a competitive sport.
Just like any other sport, there are opportunities for sportspeople to represent their state in blind cricket, or represent Australia on the world stage. And, like any other sport, that requires the development of strong pathways, the expansion of coaching capacity, and a professional approach.
We don’t just want to give people in our state the chance to play regularly, for social and health benefits, but also the opportunity to play at a representative level, if they want to. That’s why we’re seeking corporate sponsorship as a mainstream niche sport, as well as funding as a community support program.
We’re proud to partner with a number of organisations and peak bodies to bring the BCT program to life. As a sponsor, you’ll join with our partners in our collective mission to make blind cricket accessible across Tasmania and help sustain the opportunities it offers well into the future.
To date, Blind Cricket Tasmania has received some government funding and corporate sponsorship, as well as from individual philanthropists looking to make a difference in the lives of those often excluded from mainstream opportunities like simply playing sport.
